I am posting this here bcause I don't want anyone to know that I am thinking about it. I would like some links or something to some sites for different procedures or drugs, the pros and cons, how it is done, what are the risks? Stuff like that. Can anyone help me?
I have no experience with this personally but wanted to say I wish you the best! You could try searching for Infertility offices in your area to see if they have websites with information on them. I've also found Mayo Clinic and WebMD to have very reputable, very thorough information. I also know that there are women MLB that have personal experience with this and hope they are able to give you some insight!
Lots of luck and baby dust to you!

Here are some more links with info about certain drugs and procedures: (note: I just found these on a Google search, so I am in no way saying that these are 100% accurate)
There is a lot to consider when starting fertility treatments, including your diagnosis, insurance coverage, and you and dh's comfort level as far as which procedures you are willing to do, and which you aren't. All of these things would be addressed by an RE (Reproductive Endocrinologist). As long as he is a reputable RE, he will have your best interest in mind, and will thoroughly explain all the pros/cons/risks etc. of each test and treatment. So finding a good RE would be a great start! Most REs will start seeing patients after they have been TTC for one year, or are over a certain age, and TTC 6 months.
I hope some of this will be helpful in your decision. It's a big decision, and requires both you and DH (or partner) to be totally on board, but can be worth it!

I agree, I'd start looking for an RE in your area and check out their website. Mine even had an email where you could ask questions and they'd respond before you even became a patient.
We did IUI's and some meds but finally got the BFP on our own after 5 years ttc. I wish you the best!

I think Erin provided a lot of good information. I think you need to go to an RE and get a diagnosis first and then consider what treatment options are available for your circumstance. You can't just randomly pick and choose fertility treatments, its a lot more complicated then that!

If everyone cared and nobody cried
If everyone loved and nobody lied
If everyone shared and swallowed their pride
We'd see the day when nobody died
And I'm singing
Amen, I'm alive
Amen, I'm alive

to everyone. The first step is an RE. I'd check with your insurance, since I think some require you to have a referral before they'll cover going to an RE (and some don't cover them at all). The RE will put you through a series of tests to determine your diagnosis. The kind of treatment you have will depend on why you're infertile. For example, an IUI won't do you any good if your tubes are blocked for some reason and the egg isn't able to get to the uterus. And both IUI and IVF will be an issue if your DH has issues with his sperm. Like Erin said, you definitely need to have DH totally on board, because he's going to probably have to go through tests and procedures as well.
