When people who obviously weigh less than me come to me and say they need to lose weight. I understand, they may or may not need to lose weight, but DO NOT come to me when I am fatter than you and say you need to lose weight. It makes me want to slap you in the face especially when you really don't need to lose weight. Please, go tell someone else that isn't me. I am anonymous because I am afraid the people here are going to tell me I am wrong for feeling this way.
You are certainly entitled to your opinion.
And I know what you mean - when someone who is a size 2 tells me they need to lose weight, I'd like to throttle them. But just remember, whatever size you are - for someone out there, you are the perfect size they'd love to be. KWIM? I bitch about my weight because I used to weigh much less. But I understand that many women out there would be happy to be my size.
It's all in your perspective.

Dude, you said it! I feel the exact same way. I freaking despise when people come to me and complain about how fat they are when they are smaller than me!! I don't go to those screwballs and complain about my weight, so don't complain to me...go talk to someone that doesn't have a weight problem.

When my sister and I was in high school, I always told her to shut the F up and stop whining... I was somewhat overweight back then (even more so now), but she was SKINNY. She wasn't eating much, she was working out all the time, etc... and she still whines she's fat.
I even told her to her face a few times that if she whines about how fat she was, I would punch her in the face... she pissed me off to no end.
I do hate it when people tell me they need to lose weight when they look like they need to eat MORE.

Well said! I'm most obviously overwieght and I have a dear friend who is a size 10 and, imho, looks great! But she is constantly complaining about how fat she is and how she needs to loose wieght. Um, when you are a size 22/24 then complain to me about loosing wieght. But until you need to buy clothing in the plus size section, SHUT UP.
Sorry, Lacey, I know you want to loose wieght because of where you used to be. I can understand your point too, but you do look great!!

I think that is pretty rude too. My sister does that to me all the time and she is skinnier then me. I do try to tell her politely that she is really telling the wrong person, but then she feels like I am not being supportive of her Anyhow, if it is happening with someone who you can't tolerate their selfishness out of sheer love for the person, then I would just be really blunt and honest and say: Oh really, now why on the earth would you be telling me when I am obviously heavier then you are? I find that insulting!
Maybe if they stop and think about it they will understand that its not always about THEM.

If everyone cared and nobody cried
If everyone loved and nobody lied
If everyone shared and swallowed their pride
We'd see the day when nobody died
And I'm singing
Amen, I'm alive
Amen, I'm alive

I don't have weight issues (shape issues, maybe, but weight? nope) and I have a hard time with people who complain to me about their weight. In some cases, I don't mind it and I love cheering them on. But my friend who is roughly my size, beautiful, and hates her appearance? yes, that bothers me. My husband who used to whine about his weight, then go eat a huge bowl of ice cream? PLEASE! My college roommate who was 5 inches taller than me and convinced that she needed to diet so she could weigh as much(err...little?) as me (and I was barely in the normal weight range for MY height!). Those people bother me.
That said, if it's someone who genuinely acknowledges that losing weight is better for their health and they actively take steps to lose it, come talk to me all day. I'm here for you, babe! Just don't expect me to join you

I hate it too. I always feel like crawling in a hole and hiding. If they are smaller than me and complaining to ME that they need to lose weight I always feel like they are trying to "tell" me something I already know or that they must think i'm a REAL heffer!

yep, same here. another thing that bothers me is when people want/need to lose weight because of health issues, and they dont do anything about it; that gets to me as well.
it hurts my self esteem as well, when i watch what i eat, work out and everything else, and then someone mentions that they're "too" fat, and they look just fine...gggrrrr!

i know what you are going through. my mil and sil say the same thing when they are around me. umm they know that i have a fertility issue that impeeds me losing weight. i have tried to lose but to no avail. so when someone smaller then me tells me that they are fat i fell like telling them to shut the hell up.
