I have. The baby had a defect, I saw the ultrasound pics. It was where she had no skull or complete brain. I have no idea how she lived as long as she did. There was no way the baby could have lived, and I do not regret my decision at all.
I can never say never because I used to, and then that happened to me. It was a hard heartbreaking decision for me to make, but I couldn't have carried her to full term and given birth to her to watch her die. :/
I fully support your decision. How awful that you had to go through that. Matt, being in the field he is in, has discussed at length with me if something like Anencephaly (which sounds like what you are describing) or Trisomy 13 or 18 arose. It is a horrible, horrible thing, and to me, God wouldn't have given us the gift of ultrasound if he didn't feel we were capable of relieving the suffering of others. Having said that, I don't agree with abortion in almost every other case (especially in cases where it is used as a birth control device). I personally could never have one. My sister had one when she was 18. She is now 40 and has NO children. I wonder every time I think about it if she regrets her decision. So sad.

I couldn't do it personally but I understand the reasons why some people choose to do so but there are girls who abuse ( as in using it as a form of birth control )it which I can't agree on at all . But again thats just my opinion

i put never but then got to thinking if the baby had severe malformities then maybe. thankfully i don't have to make that decision. i really think it all totally depends on the situation one is in and their state of mind. it is all personal decision.

I have never had an abortion but under some circumstances I would. If the baby was likely to be born with severe mental and/or physical disabilities, and spend the majority of his or her life suffering, then I would have the baby aborted.
I personally wouldn't, but it's not really my place to judge others who do. I have to admit it bothers me when someone chronically uses abortion as birth control, though. But, to each her own.
never would I even consider that...I have been raped twice, one did result in a pregnancy but it was by my boyfriends friend...i was 15. Scared. Emotional. Ddn't want to tell my parents, a week later I woke up and did a walk to fight abortion in my town with some friends from my church, stood up and told my story...I miscarried at 11 weeks, never once was it ever an option, and if I was told there was a birth defect then i would look to God to preform one of his miracles, he has done them before and does them on a daily basis....I now counsel young pregnant moms, well, not so much anymore but I did with my grandma, I make blankets and buy baby needs and donate them to the teen moms now...never should it ever be an option and I hope it is outlawed someday...but my SIL has had 4 or 5 and I love my sister in Law so very much, it does not make them a bad person...don't hate the sinner hate the sin kind of thing, I have a couple "friends" who have had them and it doesn't change the love I have for them, although I must admit that I have let the thought cross my mind and say...how could they do that, but that was wrong on my part and a normal human thought....thank you all and please don't let this change how you think of me

I don't see it as an option either but don't want to say never. It wouldn't be my first choice should a decision have to be made - I would look at all the options. I totally do not like the fact that people are using it as BC thing.
