IT'S TWINS!!!!
Well...we are having twins...I wondered since we had a high HCG reading. YEAH!!! We are so thrilled and so excited, but of course nervous and worried too. So, I thought for all you expert Moms of twins out there I would ask you some of my million and one questions...
How long did you carry your twins? Did you have any complications? Did you have bedrest? Did you gain a lot more than a singleton pregnancy (if you had one?) TIA! Sandy 10w1d

 What wonderful news. Welcome to the multipules board. I look forward to getting to know you. How long did you carry your twins? I carried until 38 weeks Did you have any complications? High blood pressure last week of pregnancy Did you have bedrest? No Did you gain a lot more than a singleton pregnancy (if you had one?) I only have my twin pregnancy

Sandy, CONGRATULATIONS!!! I'm so happy & excited for you!!
    How long did you carry your twins? induced at 38 weeks exactly Did you have any complications? None really...I do think I had pelvic separation...there's a more technical term for it, but it's basically bad pain turning over, a little trouble walking, etc., but I was able to work right up until the day before I was induced. Did you have bedrest? Nope Did you gain a lot more than a singleton pregnancy (if you had one?) Hmm...I gained 34 lbs with my singleton dd, & the twins I gained 52 lbs. But, I think the fertility meds & all, plus since the RE was 2 1/2 hours away we went out to eat alot, which contributed. Feel free to ask any questions! GOOD LUCK!!!! Oh, do you know if they are identical or fraternal? We could tell early that Maggie & Sophie were fraternal.

Thanks so much ladies!!! It is so exciting!! Also thanks to the ladies who answered the questions...I feel sooooooo much better seeing that you both carried until 38 weeks and didn't have bedrest. I'm sure you can imagine the horror stories that I'm getting from people. UGH! LOL!! Our twins our fraternal...we did an IVF cycle and had two embryos transfered...so unless something crazy happened they are fraternal. Thanks again!!!!

Only had the twin pregnancy, but only gained 35 pounds (started at 131 lbs and ended at 166) You will hear horror stories, but you will also hear wonderful stories, and every woman and pregnancy is different, so don't stress!

How long did you carry your twins? 34 weeks which was great since I went into full labor at 32 weeks and we thought that was when they would be born Did you have any complications? Pre-term labor Did you have bedrest? Yes, starting at 23 weeks Did you gain a lot more than a singleton pregnancy (if you had one?) I gained 29lbs with Cole and 32 with the twins, but you are SUPPOSED to gain a lot of weight so I always got lectured to try to put on more weight.

I was a scheduled csection at 38 weeks 3 days. I was diabetic prior to pregnancy, so that wasn't a complication, but it was harder to control my sugars during the pregnancy. I had light duty, not bedrest really. I knew when my body needed to rest. I laid down if I started getting "crampy" feeling. With my singleton I gained 17 pounds, with the twins 32.
