The Cary Mom. Have y'all been watching this thing?
It is ugly. I quit checking it on WRAL and any news site that allows comments. It's vicious! I looked through the affidavits for the custody case this morning and all I can think is: Neither is a saint. They're two totally normal people. The husband could be any ONE of the guys I work with. And while I joke about the social skills of the techie guys I work with, it's not that they are completely inept, they're just not the social butterflies that flit through the circles of Cary! I am just amazed. This case so feeds the gossip-mongering. It could seriously be an incredible case for anyone studying sociology to watch. The husband has kept pretty quiet up until this week. He's now fighting her parents and sister for custody of the kids.
Looking through the affidavits from both sides, I can only read and think how amazing it is that these two could have been anyone, from here or that I know around town. Though the close knit neighborhood thing does creep me out a bit. Ok, maybe it borders somewhere between Desperate Housewives and anyone that I know...And is it bad that I was almost laughing at the last testimony attached in the husband's affidavit? It's his friend refuting something one of the wife's friend said in hers.
I am curious to see what the police come up with for how she died and who killed her. I won't speculate on who or how, because it's just silly! And it's also why I quit reading the news sites. I'm just praying they sort it out soon so this family can move forward!
