Dh and I lived together for 5 years before getting married. It was kinda one of those things were we wanted to have a baby and thought... geez maybe we should get married first. We went to the JP with just one friend as a witness!
BUT I have a better marriage than 98% of my friends... all they have are the wedding memories, kwim.
You could just have a cookout to celebrate your love/family and keep it very simple if you want, or wait, save up and renew your vows on like a 5th or 10th anniversary.
